Objective: 

This course will enable the students to analyse the components and interactions of the exposure triangle, depth of field and their effects by exploring the properties, sources, nature and characteristics of light. Assess the role and significance of photojournalism in documenting and conveying news stories, events, and social issues.

CO73: Analyse the structural components and operational principles of different types of photographic cameras, lenses and accessories.

CO74: Evaluate the technical and aesthetic qualities of photographs captured at different f-stops and shutter speeds and the effectiveness of composition rules, while capturing compelling photographs.

CO75: Explore the impact of different lighting techniques and the suitability of different lighting setups for capturing nature, portrait, architecture, night, and product photographs.

CO76: Incorporate photo editing techniques and software tools to enhance the visual appeal and storytelling potential of photographs

CO77: Apply knowledge of photojournalism and visual storytelling techniques to produce compelling and informative photo stories/ features/ essays and AV projects.
