Objective: 

Course Objectives: 

 

This course will enable the students to understand the basics and techniques of digital photography. Capture various types of photographs by understanding lighting techniques and rules of composition. Understand the basics of photo editing software; Adobe Photoshop.

 

Unit I: 

 

 

 History of Photography, History of Camera Invention, Definition of Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO, relation between all of them. Understanding the Camera Accessories.

Unit II: 

- Understanding a Shot with Rule of Thirds composition. Shoot for Still life, Portrait, Macro and Speed Photograph.

 

Unit III: 

 - About Digital Dark Room Process: Super Imposition, Color Correction, Cropping  Frame, Retouching and restoration of an Image.

 

 

Unit IV: 

- Concept of Photojournalism, understanding the technique of Filed Photography, Live Photography, Documentary, Social, Street and Celebrity Photography.

 

Unit V: 

Portfolio Presentation: News, Still Life, Macro, Group, Landscape, Wild life and Exploration etc.
