Elate- Happiness Dialogue Series (Episode- 2)

BAA and BAPU

The department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the IIS (deemed to be University) organised the second episode of the ‘Happiness Dialogue Series- Elate’ on the topic, ‘BAA and BAPU 150 years’ on 2nd October, 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The keynote speaker for the session was Shri Ramesh Chand Sharma. The session revolved around the Gandhian philosophy, Mahatma Gandhi’s struggle of freedom fight and Mr. Ramesh’s experience of following the Gandhian path.

Shri Ramesh Chandra Sharma is a thinker and follower of Gandhian Philosophy, he is working as the Director of youth wing of Gandhi Peace Foundation and has been acting as an active member of Gandhi Peace Foundation for over 50 years. His valuable insights and knowledge inspired students and started an important conversation about practicing the Gandhian Philosophy in 21st Century. During this hour- long session, Mr. Sharma shared his various encounters and experiences in life where he understood the importance of following Gandhian philosophy. He also discussed the current social and political scenario in the nation and the way through which today’s youth can contribute to the global society.

In the end, students got an opportunity to converse with Mr. Sharma and bring their queries forward.
