Guest Lecture on Data Journalism- story in facts and figures

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur, organized an online session on the topic, "Data Journalism- story in facts and figures" on Saturday, 22nd January. The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Skand Vivek Dhar, an award-winning journalist with over 14 years of experience and currently acting as the executive editor at Dainik Bhaskar.

Mr. Dhar commenced the session by explaining the basics of data journalism. He also guided the students for a professional career in the field, by talking about vast opportunities available in this field. He maintained a constant dialogue with the students and answered questions asked by the students.

Dr. Shipra Mathur, Advisor and Head of the department presented the formal vote of thanks and concluded the session. Students from all the batches participated in the session and it proved to be a great learning experience for the students.
