The Lens-Craft club of the IIS (Deemed to be University) organized a two-day photography workshop on the 12-13 October, 2023. The workshop which was powered by Canon, was organized by the School of Media Studies in collaboration with the School of Computer Scienceand Information Technology. The workshop was conduct by Mr Naveen Saini, product Evangelist – Canon and Mr. Gajendra Singh Bora – product trainer, Canon. In the first part of the workshop, the students learnt theoretical concepts such as basics of photography, exposure triangle, photo formats and camera modes. Furthermore, they were introduced to the concepts of photo editing and learnt the basics of Adobe Light room software, which would help them correct and enhance their pictures. On day two of the event focused on practical learning and the students were shown and introduced to the different types of lenses that are used in still photography. Also, they learnt about various types of lights, lighting tools and accessories like diffusers, gels and many more. The students then implemented their learning of two days and clicked fashion, product and outdoor photographs. With the help of the experts and their hands-on teaching, the students could capture interesting and appealing photographs.
