The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication recently hosted a photography workshop in collaboration with Canon, a leading name in the world of photography equipment. The workshop aimed to equip students with essential photography skills, knowledge about Canon's products, and insights into the industry. The workshop took place on 12th and 13th of October, 2023 at AV Studio, providing a conducive environment for learning and practical demonstrations. Photographers and Canon representatives delivered lectures and presentations on various aspects of photography, including composition, lighting, and camera settings. Participants had the opportunity to practice their newly acquired skills through hands-on sessions. They were guided by experienced photographers and provided with Canon cameras to experiment with. A photo walk was organized, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting. Guided by instructors, they explored the surroundings and captured images using Canon cameras. Participants were overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the workshop's effectiveness in enhancing their photography skills and knowledge about Canon's products.
