Guest Lecture on “Digital Journalism”

 IIS (deemed to be university) organized a guest lecture on 15 September 2018. The speaker was Mr. Dayashankar Mishra, Digital Editor of Zee News. Digital Journalism is very different to the traditional journalism that was around as little as a decade ago. From the way news is captured to its reception by readers, students wishing to become journalists need to be familiar with many digital skills in order to compete with the competition. The duration of the session was one hour. He talked about how digital journalism is taking over the other forms of media. As well as he explained the prominent features of digital journalism in the upcoming years.

The new experiment in the journalism and mass communication field is “MoJo” that is Mobile Journalism. He gave detailed information about it. It was very interesting and interactive session. The students too showed their interest and their perspective about it.
