Objective: 

This course will enable the students to -

  • To identify different sound recording platforms 
  • To learn the skills of recording indoor and outdoor  
  • To understand the technical aspect of broadcast
  •  

Learning Outcomes:

After doing the course the student will be able to 

  1. Specify the equipments used in the studio 
  2. Have the knowledge of script writing for radio.
  3. Have a knowhow of studio acoustics and recording techniques
  4. Know about Analogue and Digital recording techniques.
  5. Identify various Amplifiers and Speakers
  • Introduction to Sound Studio- Types, Specifications, Equipments and Acoustics.
  • Microphones- Types- Classification on the basis of use, direction and structure.
  • Cables and Connectors; Maintenance of Microphones.
  • Recording – Analogue and Digital, Analogue and Digital Equipments
  • Recording Software.
  • Amplifiers and Speakers- Principle of Working, Types and Structure.
  • Transmission- Transmitter and other Equipments.
