Unit I: 
Print Media: Coverage Analysis of a Major News Event
  • Select a national or regional news event covered by at least two newspapers.
  • Analyze news values, editorial bias, headline treatment, and visual elements.
  • Compare objectivity, tone, and journalistic ethics across publications.
  • Include scanned clippings and layout analysis.

Radio: Programming Strategy and Audience Engagement in Radio

  • Select an FM or AM radio channel and analyze one specific show (news, talk, or entertainment).
  • Study its content structure, audience target, script flow, and sound design.
  • Conduct a listener survey or feedback analysis (optional).
  • Provide a breakdown of how radio builds connection using only audio tools.
Unit II: 
Television: Comparative Analysis of Prime Time TV News Programs
  • Choose two different news channels and record their prime-time news shows.
  • Compare their content framing, anchors’ presentation style, use of visuals, and biases.
  • Comment on their TRP ratings and public trust factors.
  • Include screenshots and a content breakdown table.

Cinema: Cinema as a Medium of Social or Political Commentary

  • Choose a feature film or documentary known for addressing a relevant social issue.
  • Analyze narrative, character portrayal, symbolism, cinematography, and message delivery.
  • Study public reception through reviews, box office, and audience response.
  • Discuss its impact on public discourse or policy.
Unit III: 
Public Relations (PR): PR Campaign Strategy and Media Handling
  • Select a PR campaign (corporate, political, or crisis management).
  • Identify tools used: press releases, media kits, events, influencer outreach, etc.
  • Evaluate media coverage, public perception, and campaign success.
  • Attach sample press materials or screenshots if available.

Advertising: Brand Communication and Advertising Effectiveness
  • Select a brand and one of its ad campaigns (TV, print, digital, or integrated).
  • Analyze target audience, creative approach, media planning, and message clarity.
  • Evaluate impact through sales data, engagement, or recall surveys.
  • Include visuals and slogans as part of the submission.

Digital Media: YouTube/ Influencers

Select 2 channels (1M+ subscribers) Select 4 influencers (1M+ followers) from any platform

  • Content Format Analysis: Study video styles: storytelling, humor, aesthetics, editing. Classify content: education, entertainment, lifestyle, commentary, Explore trend use and innovation.
  • Influencer Impact Assessment: Evaluate message clarity and relevance to trends/audience interests.
  •  Creative Comparison: Compare creators' success factors, cultural influence, and target audiences.
  • Strategy Pitch (Group): Develop a strategy pitch analyzing audience engagement, creativity, and content effectiveness.
